Ledgerlane is a production-ready React and TypeScript workspace for a finance and supply-chain executive. It brings client records, invoice intake, payment status, return notes, dashboards, and exports into one operational flow.

The product is deliberately manual-review-first. A person enters and checks each invoice, while its original spreadsheet, image, or PDF proof remains available in Firebase Storage. The workflow makes records easier to trust without sending documents through AI, OCR, or external model calls.

Bringing a personal site to a custom domain

Publishing a portfolio is a small technical task with an outsized practical effect: it turns a link in a message into a place that feels stable, personal, and easy to remember.

The setup

The site is hosted as a static deployment on Netlify, with aimanaizuddin.com registered and managed through Cloudflare. After the DNS record was added, the custom domain was connected to the Netlify site and HTTPS was enforced at the edge.

Moving this portfolio from React to Hugo

This portfolio began as a React and Vite single-page site. It worked, but publishing a small update meant returning to a front-end project when what I really wanted was a calm place to write, document work, and keep moving.

The goal

I wanted the site to make three things easy:

explain the work behind a project without turning every page into a case study;
publish a short note as soon as I learn something useful; and
keep the site fast and simple enough that maintenance stays out of the way.

What changed

I moved the portfolio content into Hugo and used Hugo Bear Blog as the base. The pages are now Markdown files: the home page, project write-ups, the now page, contact page, this Build Log, and the resume page all live as content rather than components.

I recently built and shipped Ledgerlane, a mobile-first workspace for a finance and supply-chain executive who needed a clearer way to manage client invoices.

The goal was practical: bring client records, invoice intake, payment status, return notes, original proof files, and reporting into one focused place. The result is now live at ledgerlane-app.web.app.

The problem

Invoice work often lives across spreadsheets, email attachments, and ad hoc follow-ups. That makes it harder to answer simple questions: what is still pending, what is overdue, which client does a record belong to, and where is the original proof?
